Gilcreek Scout Camp, AlbanyGilcreek is located on Norwood Road, Lower King and backs onto the serene King River, 12 kilometres north of the Albany CBD.
This 8 hectare bush site has plenty of room to allow camping, canoeing, bushwalking, navigation and campfires. There is an abundance of wildlife to observe and many wildflowers in spring. A large grassed oval provides a great activities area when a lot of room is needed.
Within an hour of the camp site are tourist attractions such as Whaleworld, Princess Royal Fortress, the Porongurup Range, Middleton Beach, Two People's Bay nature reserve (ideal for whale watching July - October) and many walk trails including the Bibbulmun Track and it's Southern Terminus.
A little bit further out is the picturesque Denmark Townsite, Stirling Range and Valley of the Giants at Walpole.
