Looking for a Challenge?

Scouts WA  has significant resources that may be of use to Scouts and /or members of WA’s community in times of disaster.  These resources are both human, halls and equipment.

Scouts WA is seeking to develop a  Disaster Mitigation capability.  The genesis for the initiative comes from the Queensland and Victorian floods and our bush fires.   Scouts have adults trained in disciplines that would be useful in a disaster situation.  We have physical resources that could be used.  The proposal is to create a response capability, initially aimed at helping Scout Groups  and Scouts and their families impacted by a disaster here in WA and expand the capability to assist the general WA public.

Scouts are seeking a Volunteer Team Leader to develop and organise the capability, maintain the Unit and equipment for deployment, and manage the deployment in the event of the need arising.

You could be our Team Leader if you are;

·         Able to meet the requirements of Scout membership,

·         An experienced manager & leader of adults and organiser,

·         A good verbal and written communicator,

·         Good at working within a team of volunteers and motivating others

·         Driven to achieve the objective
